Chicago harpist Michelle Campbell has over twenty years of experience as a professional harpist. She is the resident harpist for the Langham Hotel which was recently voted the #1 Luxury Hotel in the USA. Michelle also performs at The Drake Hotel for High Tea, the Four Seasons Hotel and The Peninsula as a soloist, she was a featured soloist at Chicago Fashion Week as well as at the Lyon & Healy Recital Hall. Michelle has performed with Grammy award winning Chicago percussion quartet, Third Coast Percussion, at Millennium Park and she is a performer for the Emanation Concert Series held throughout the city.  She performs regularly in musical theatre and symphony orchestras at prestigious venues in Chicago including Goodman Theater, Copernicus Center, Mercury Theatre, and No Exit Theatre. As a freelance soloist and collaborator she is in high demand for weddings and special events in the Chicagoland area. 

A dedicated teacher, Michelle currently instructs harp at Wilbur Wright City College and teaches harp and music theory to her expanding studio of students at the Westside Instructional String and Harp Program. W.I.S.H. is a music initiative by Chicago West Community Music Center whose mission is to enrich and enhance the quality of life for Chicago Westside area youth and their families through music.

Michelle Campbell began her musical training at the age of five at CalState LA. She has earned a Bachelors of Music degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Music degree from Northern Illinois University. She has studied under acclaimed harpists Maria Casale, Joan Holland and Faye Seeman. Striving for versatility she has also pursued the study of jazz and improvisation under the guidance of Charlie Haden and Geri Allen. 

An active member of the music community here in Chicago, Michelle enjoys collaborating with a wide range of instruments in diverse musical genres.
